Design Your Whirled: Halloween Fairy Tale!

Hello everybody,

As announced in our little news item, Whirled is holding its third Design Your Whirled contest, this time with the Halloween Fairy Tale theme to give it a little twist! The goal is to design and create an epicly awesome Whirled room based on your favorite spooky fairy tale. The fairy tale doesn't have to be specifically about Halloween; it can be a spooky tale from any culture, or even one you made up yourself. Run wild! The contest starts today and ends on Sunday, November 8th, 2009.

The official contest announcement and description can be found here, and our FAQ is here. Linked therein are the official entry and discussion threads. If you have a question and it's not addressed in our FAQ, just post it to the contest discussion thread in Whirled and we will answer. Please note that this contest is not sponsored by deviantART.

Per my previous journal entry here, don't forget that you can add working Whirled *rooms* to deviantART, not just screenshots of them! We're going to make a collection of DYW entries that we see go up on deviantART, so be sure to post yours.

We are really pleased to be running another Design Your Whirled contest, as we've had people asking us when another would run since before the last one even ended! :)

We prefer not to think of it as an invasion...it's more like a party with a main hub and little outposts. ;)
